Chasing Cats.
We decided to go with the idea of FBI agents tracking a cat down, as this fits with the agent stereotype. If it seemed like a serious man hunt until the end, when it is actually only a cat, that could be a good punchline. Looking for a cat for someone is also an everyday sort of thing.
Key points to keep in mind:
Their communication is the focus. This must enhance their activity or help solve their problems.
The beginning must have a serious tone, and attempt to trick the audience into assuming that these men are searching for a fugitive.
The agents should be cold, efficient, almost robotic.
Shot composition should be very square and punchy, with simple dramatic backgrounds that will show through well once photoshopped.
Some shot ideas we want to incorporate:
Coat billowing in the wind (interesting to do in stop motion)
Close-up 180 pan around the subject (to reveal face or to reveal where the agent is looking)
Dolly zoom (see post below)
